Natural vegetation and animal life depend on climate, relief and soil. The diversity of India’s climate and relief have made natural vegetation and animal life interdependent on each other and they form a single ecosystem. This ecosystem has evolved through thousands of years. Indiscriminate meddling with this ecosystem causes harmful effects. Natural vegetation and animal life are also called flora and fauna respectively.India has a variety of wild life because of its varied relief features such as climateand natural vegetation. There are about 80,000 species of wild animals, birds andfishes. India has some rare animals which are not found in any other part of the world. eg. swamp deer, Chausinga (four-horn antelope), Kashmir stag, black buck and Neelgai. The spotted deer of India is very beautiful. Horned rhinoceros is found only in India and Nepal. Some of the carnivores animals such as lions, tigers and leopards are found in our forests. The Gir forests of Saurashtra is the natural habitat of lions. The famous Bengal tiger is found in the Sunderbans. The national animal of India is the Tiger. The Himalayas are the home of several interesting animals, like the wild sheep, yak, the mountain goats, the ibex, the shrew, the tapu, the panda and the snow leopard. Of the many species of monkeys, the languar is the most common.India has a vaiety of bird life. The falcon (hawk), geese, mynahs, parrots, pigeons.

Answer:

All plants and animals have important roles in the ecosystem. All living organisms play a role in the ecosystem and enable life to exist on Earth. Mankind, animals, birds, plants and microorganisms in the ecosystem co-exist and balance each other.

The system that exists in Nature is designed for all the different species of the world, where each has a role to play without disturbing the others and without upsetting the ecological balance off.

Animals and insects help us to reduce negative impacts on the globe and help us address issues such as global warming, pollution, environmental disturbances, etc. All living beings from the smallest microbes to the largest fish or animal are dependent on each other.

Animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide is used by plants to manufacture food in the presence of sunlight. The plants then release oxygen which is vital for survival of all living creatures including mankind.

If the population of animals are reduced, the natural food chain will be disrupted. The delicate balance of nature will be broken. So it is necessary to save animals in order to save plant life and human life.

Because of deforestation animals are losing their habitats and foods to survive. Overfishing and pollution of water are decreasing the population of fish and seabirds. Many animals which were common a few decades are becoming endangered species, on the verge of extinction. Hundreds of animal species had become extinct during our own lifetime.

Let us stop hunting. Let us stop felling trees. Let us plant more trees. Let us protect our forests for animals to live in and allow the endangered species to propagate. We need to protect the habitats of animals and when necessary create wildlife sanctuaries.

Our world is dying slowly from enrironmental pollution. We cannot save the world without saving both plants and animals. Plants and animals must first be protected to save the world. We must not forget that this world is designed by Nature for human beings, plants and animals to live together.
