The story revolves aroundon a relationship between animals and humans. It depicts an era where hunters were rising and the forest belts of Mussorie was declining.
Ruskin lives down the hill and observes the leopards and other animals near the stream drinking water. A group of hunters came over to haunt leopard and inquire the Ruskin about leopard whereabputs.
Ruskin denies the presence of leopard on the pretext of saving them. After few days, he found that the hinters killed the same leopard which he saw few days back.
