Ajamil and the Tiger written by Arun Kolatkar
The poem talks about a Shepherd make a cordial relation with the king of Tigers to maintain peace with the two communities. It speaks about the distinction between proprietor and proletariat. It is about the class struggle and the oppressed. As depicted in the poem the shepherd is the ruler, protects the sheepdog. He wants to maintain the sovereignty so he sometimes sacrifices his sheep’s to maintain relation with the tiger.
