The poem Lake Isle of Innisfree displays the poet’s desire to break away from the monotony of life in the city and move to the peaceful and serene island of Innisfree. He wishes to build a small cabin there and plant nine being rose. He also wishes to have a beehive for the honeybees and live alone in the sounds of nature. This shows the poet‘s desire to live a simple and self-sufficient lifestyle. The poet goes on to describe the mornings filled with the sounds of crickets and the evening, when he can listen to the flapping of linnets wings, which is a small bird. And in the mid night he can see the beautiful view of a sky full of stars and the sun sets with a purple glow. The poet says that even though he is standing on the concrete pavements of the city, he can still hear the sound of lake water of innisfree in his heart. This beautiful memory would always stay in the poets heart.
