The bangle sellers is a poem written by Sarojini Naidu .

The bangle sellers bear heavy loads and lead a tough and poor life although they are happy because they can make other maids and girls happy by offering them bangles .

For the maidens , the blue and the grey colour bangles resembling mist are better because mist is a symbol of mystery and the life of a maiden is yet to be revealed. She wears green and pink bangles too which reveals that she is resembling a bud yet to bloom to a flower.

The bangles of a bride are orange , sunlit corn coloured and bright coloured because their hearts are filled with the desire and excitement for marriage.

The bangles of a mature woman are grey and purple because purple symbolises maturity and grey is the difficulties faced by her.
