the brook comes from a place beautifuly filled with birds and trees it suddenly sets out for an adventure . in the adventure it passes thirty hills and slips between many ridges , twenty villages and 50 bridges . at last it goes to philips farm and joins a river which is full it dashes stones and makes beautiful noise it corrodes away the bank as it is in its way it keeps flowing and flowing with no end for men may come and men may go it flows forever it passses on and on and sees thousands of things it sees trout and grayling ( fishes ) it sees lawns and grassy plots . in the night it murmurs under moon and stars and loiter around its cresses for men may come and men may go but it goes on forever .
