THE GIRAFFE by Oliver Herford is about a giraffe animal that is so tall and with a head that is higher than a spire. When the natives race with him, they compare it to an obstacle race with hurdles and water jumps. The giraffe needs to wake up very early at dawn and eat its breakfast right away. Because it has a long neck and when he eats, the food will travel through his throat and reaches his stomach at lunchtime.
