Answer:

LOST SPRING

This chapter has 2 parts , in first we can read about the ragpickers of Seemapuri and in second part we can read about the Firozbad bagle maker and child labour.

so the summary of 1st part ,

Seemapuri is a settlement of over 10,000 people who are ragpickers and come from Bangladesh in 1971. They have been living here for about 30 years but they have no facilities. They do not have any identity. There is no sewage drainage and running water in the area though. They have ration cards that enable them to vote and buy grain. Children grow up to become ragpickers. Survival in Seemapuri means rag picking. Rag picking has become a fine art for people. Before children can be seen here and there with a plastic bag on their shoulders. Garbage has different meaning for them. It is true that Seemapuri is on the periphery of Delhi yet it is miles away from it. Ragpickers are living in mud house. There children can be seen without shoes , women wear tottered sarees. It is difficult to imagine that such can exist in Delhi.

And in this part we can also read a story of a child Saheb how he change his work.

2nd part summary:

Firozabad is famous for its bangles. Almost every family in the town is engaged in this profession. The bangle makers of Firozabad weld glass and make the bangle for all the women in India. It is not only the adults who make bangle over 20,000 children are engaged in bangle making. They work illegally in the glass furnace with high temperature. They have to face health - hazards. These factories are in dirty lanes with garbage. The bangle makers work in the dinghy place with no window , no fresh air comes in , their eyes are move adjusted to the dark than to the light outside. Due ti this many children lose their eyesight when they grow up. Firozabad has not made any progress with the passage of time. The bangle makers have fallen into a trap of power mind humbling toil has killed all their hopes and dreams. These people organize themselves into a co -operative because they are trapped in the circle of Sahukars or middle men and these people exploit the bangle makers. It seems that the bangle makers of Firozabad will never be free from poverty and exploitation.
