Answer:
Arnold Bennet has is a famous novelist, dramatist and journalist of the twentieth century. He is a realist, and draws an actual picture of life. The main idea of this essay is that people do not observe life carefully. The writer tells us that a simple puppy was walking in the streets of London. He was suddenly crushed by a bus, and was thrown into the mud near the street. The bus stopped and the people began to gather round the dead dong. The driver and the conductor came out of the bus. Two policemen also appeared at once. A large crowd of people also came near the scene of the accident. The dog was lying lifeless, and the people were looking at it.
