A little girl name Sulekha . She was called Bholi for her simpleton. This was so because some part of her brain had hot damaged due to an injury during her childhood. She used to stammered and had pock marks on her face .Her father Ramlal was a Numberdar .He had 3 sons and 4 daughters and Bholi was the youngest girl . The tehsildar, persuaded Ramlal to sent Bholi to the village primary school. In the beginning, she was frightened to went to the school. In the school, she met a new teacher who was polite and kind . She encouraged Bholi to speak her with confidence. Year's past ,one day Bholi's parents decided to marry het. On her wedding day , the bridegroom arrived with great pomp. The groom discovered that Bholi had pock marks on her face, so he demanded 5000 as dowry. Bholi could not bear this and refused to marry the greedy man. After this, her father was surrounded by grief and said that no one could marry her. She replied that she would take care of her parents .
