in this story Amrita Devi is a Bishnoi who used to lives in khejarli village and she had three daughters .One the king soldiers came in the village for cutting trees for the construction of the king's new palace .When the soldiers started cutting trees Amrita Devi came in front of the tree and said to the soldiers if you want to cut this tree then you had to kill me first,then the soldier said if you don't want that this tree should be cut down then you have to give me money as bribe.And she said "i would give my life to save these trees". then the soldier killed her,like this her 3 daughters and 363 bishnois were killed by the king's soldiers.And when king heard about the people who died for saving trees he went to the village and said that he would give the villagers gold coins as for the loss of villagers.The villagers said we don't want gold coins you promise that you will ban cutting of trees and hunting if animals. The king said yes and from then all villagers were living happily and from then World environment day is celebrated on 5th of june . thankyou
