The Last Leaf, short story by O. Henry, published in 1907 in his collection The Trimmed Lamp and Other Stories. “The Last Leaf” concerns Johnsy, a poor young woman who is seriously ill with pneumonia. She believes that when the ivy vine on the wall outside her window loses all its leaves, she will also die. Her neighbour Behrman, an artist, tricks her by painting a leaf on the wall. Johnsy recovers, but (in a twist typical of O. Henry) Behrman, who caught pneumonia while painting the leaf, dies.

so this basicly this story is about two poor artist Sue and Jhonsey .The share the same sense of fashiion and both of them like chikery salad . The had meet each other at an art exibition in san franscisco .Both of them had a common studio and jhonsey had a dream to paint the alps .One winter the was a wildspread of phenomia in the place where all the poor artist would stay it is said that it would touch its icy finger to some of the artist and set them to a permanent sleep and one day Mr. phnemonia Touched jhonsey with his icey hand and she got infected so an old painter MR. bherman who had a beard like galileo came to jhonseys rescue amd painted his master peice a leaf that loooked so real a leaf that inspired jhonsey to live .MR.
