It is a short story written by Katherine Mansfield. It is depicted around a little girl name Kazia. When her father used to get back from job, she used to remove his boots. She has a problem of stutter only when she talked to her father. One day her father was set for the speech to port authority board but he could not find the speech, Kazia has used that to fill the pin-cushion that she was planning to gift her father.
When he came to find that he got angry and punished Kezia for her mistake. There lived a McDonald's family in their neighbors. She was surprised to see how their father loves and cares about his children and they had no fear of him. A sudden change of event happen when her mother gets sick, and she goes to her father for comfort. She came to know he was not able to give time to the family cause of his busy schedule.
This shows how children expect their parents to be with their own strengths and weaknesses.
