Chenna Parayan along with his pregnant wife and children are evacuated from the hut and moved to the camp by boat. While they went to a safe place, the dog is standing at the top of the house. Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai popularly known as Thakazhi after his birthplace, was an Indian novelist and short story writer in Malayalam literature. He wrote over 30 novels and novellas and over 600 short stories focusing on the life of the oppressed classes.
