In this poem"The Parrot in the Cage", the writer is endeavoring to advocates the opportunity for individuals in the Rana administration. The Nepalese individuals had been led by the Ranas for one hundred and four years. Amid this period, individuals were denied of getting a charge out of a wide range of opportunity. The speaker in the ballad is disillusioned by the brutal reality of man's life. Plus, man has been found to live far from his family, home, kinfolk, companions, and the profound freedom that encompass him in the rural life.

Therefore, man has been compelled to carry on with a confined life like the parrot. Man's lack of concern for creature's predicament and the mindset of getting a diversion from detaining lower creatures have been censured in the poem. Living far from the common man has welcomed more catastrophe and distress in his life.
