Summary of the Poem “A slumber did my spirit seal“
In the 1st of the poem's two stanzas, the speaker states that a "slumber" has kept him from comprehending truth. In principle, he has been in a dream-like situation, empty of any common doubts ("human fears"). To the speaker, "she" (his unnamed female love) looked like she would never age.
In the 2nd and final stanza, though, we study that she has pass away. Her deceits still and can no longer see or get. She has turn out to be a part of the day-to-day passage of the earth.
