In the poem Forest-Fire, the poetess expresses her strong appetite and desire to gather a vast amount of experiences and knowledge by paying close attention to social and worldly activities. She wants to take in everything that gets in her way. She desires to examine human nature and tendencies.
The poet compares herself to the forest fire in the poem "The Forest Fire." She claims that, just as the forest fire spares no one in its anger, the poet does the same.
The poet ingests everything that occurs around her as well. She describes the issues and obstacles that she encounters in her life and how to overcome them. The unhappiness of her personal and marital life is also reflected in the poem.
The poet also gets more "charming" with each new encounter, much to how the forest fire intensifies and grows.
