The poem is written by Sue Falkner-Wood

The poem is all about PAIN.

The poetess is very depressed and uncomfortable. She feels an anxiety and sadness. She always think of life as bed of thorns.

She always thinks negative things of her life. She thinks about her losses. She expresses how she feels no control over he body, her life or her ego.

She compares herself hers. She measures her happiness and joys in negative ways. She thinks that others  are so happy, healthy and vital while she is sad and alone and unsuccessful.

She doesn't know what to say or do with her life, she was just existing not living, then one day she sees a mirror and said that it's her life and it's getting late meaning to say that now its time for her to 'live'.

That's when it 'hit' her, she's had enough of being alone and depressed, she wants to lead her life.

She looks for solutions to her problems, she finds some hope in her life.

She starts to account of all things she had left, gradually stops asking, "Why me?" and begins to feel happiness.

She reaches out to jot, expressing how laughter felt delicious and warm inside.

She learns to love each day, even in the dark side and disagreements, for within all her heartache she found her cure, called life.

This is a motivational poem. It shows the depression of life and shows that Hope & Strong-will are the solution to all of its problems.
