The Prophet by Kahil Gibran describes how Almustafa was approached by a city elder to speak about good and evil.
His reply to the elders was that he can speak only of good as the evil is only good that is tortured by its own hunger and thirst.
He says being good with self and behaving evils are opposites.

Answer:
Kahlil Gibran On Good and Evil. What's more, one of the older folks of the city stated, "Address us of Good and Evil."
For what is detestable however great tormented by its very own yearning and thirst?
Verily when great is ravenous it looks for nourishment even in dull caverns, and when it thirsts, it drinks even of dead waters. Beyond any doubt it is helpful.
