Answer-
This beautifully scripted poem, which could make its verses prevail in the readers' minds has a very intense and deep comprehension. This poem basically revolves around the concept of 'oxymoron'. It brings out the qualities of different materialistic things and talks about their alternation, i.e. the world would have been better that ever, had there been a change in the working of these things, like- if a gun could grow a flower. This line evokes the feeling of love and humility. Just try to speculate and imagine a gun, which is as cruel as a witch could even ever evolve something as beautiful as a delicate flower? Again, if mice could roar like a lion means that even the most timid creature like a mouse could be bold and face the precarious world. If trees grew up in the sky, away from their actual and genuine habitat, the earth, then it could have given life to a variety even in the sky! Therefore, just try to relate these things with other 'impossible' activities and bring out the philosophy of life!!!!

The central idea of the poem is that the world would surely have been a utopia, had there been no cruelty, no fear, no timidity, and each organism and material had a tongue to speak out their inner thoughts. This is a pure philosophy on which life is based.

If Mice Could Roar is a simple poem by Ruskin Bond that transports the reader to a world of imagination. Bond imagines how the world would be if mice could roar like lions and elephants could soar. It would definitely be a sight if trees grew in the sky instead of land. He also visualizes the scene of tigers dining on biscuits and wine, as well as fat people flying high.

The world would be quite different if pebbles sang and tortoises ran. If only all that was lost could be won once again and bullies be subdued, nothing would be the same again. If guns grew flowers instead of firing bullets and songs brought showers, everything would appear changed.

The poet concludes by saying that if at all most of these changes occurred, it would only make the world a better place.
