The poem ‘Make room for Elephants’ is one of the kids' favourite poems written by Ruskin Bond.

In the poem, Bond describes the size of elephants, one of the giant creatures on Earth. He describes very beautifully relating elephants to his family members and how his father and mother would react if he wants to give shelter for animals as huge as elephants.

First, he describes that elephants are so huge that they occupy so much space on the Earth. Then he says that he has got no problem in giving shelter to a baby elephant. Even though if the elephants calls its mother, Bond’s dad will be good enough to provide room in the garage. But he doesn’t really know what his mother would say if the baby elephants dad, uncles and aunts too come to take shelter.
