    In the poem Matrimonial, the poet Ashwini Dhongde shows how marriage has become business these days. She describes the unrealistic expectation of grooms these days from the brides they want. A groom wants a beautiful, good height, fair and slim, education and working brides who are willing to hand over their hard-money to their husbands.

   Such a bride should live under the control of their mother-in-law and obey her all instructions. On the other hand, there is no requirement that groom is required to fulfill even if he is marrying for the second time.
