- In the poem "Past and Future" written by Sarojini Naidu, she compared the past to a hermetic mountain cell, which is stagnant and there is no movement but lasting contemplation. This is unpleasantly curbed by the future as a bride of an arranged marriage with mysteries disguised beneath her marriage veil. Both perfectly describe the feeling of the past and future in a fascinating and thought-provoking way.
