Answer:

This literary composition could be a lovely creation of personification of rain by Khalil Gibran. The rain says it falls from Heaven within the form of Silver threads thrown down on earth to adorn fields and Valleys. The rain compares itself to the plucked Pearls of Ishtar’s crown to be adorned the gardens on earth.

The rain says once it passes through Hills Screaming, They Laugh. Once it falls on flowers, they dance in joy. All Things on earth square measure pleased with its arrival. The rain compares itself to a traveller between the lover cloud and also the beloved earth. It's the Sole means of Communication between them. Once it falls, the cloud’s pain is mitigated. The earth’s thirst is satisfied.

The rain says its arrival is publicised by Thunder. The rainbow announces its departure. The rain conjointly compares its life to associate degree profane life that's born in the world. However when death it rises Heavenward guided by the angel of death. The rain says its droplets trickle down the window panes softly and each being welcomed its arrival. It feels for people. It'd be a seasonal development except for sensitive individuals. It is a traveller of pure love from heaven. The rain says it's a style of Pure, unconditional love. It's just like the sigh from an Ocean of Deep emotions, laughter from the colourful field of the Spirit and Tears from the endless world of Memories.

The Rain in the Hills by Rehana Ali is poem that she had written for her children, after her return from the Dodital Trek

Explanation:

  • Nestled high up in the mountains  above sea level Dodital trek is one of the most beautiful treks in North India attracting travelers from far and wide. This trek is named after the rare Himalayan trout which is known as Dodi in the local language.  The poet describes this trek very beautifully in her poem
  • She describes the rugged roads, the slender trees, the gentle drizzle accompanied by heavenly wind, and the ice cool water of a mountain spring when it rain in the hills. The scent of the rain makes cricket sing. Crickets are known for their pleasant chirping sounds and  believed that Crickets' singing is interpreted as a sign of rain
  • The poet says that during he night time once can see the shadows of the pine in the windy night, and the grey rainy evening which means the colour of clouds on a rainy day. While at day time it is clear and bright. This contrast in temperature makes the place more heavenly. As the poet keeps trekking further she is mesmerised by the breath-taking scenery of the valley, fragrance of the pine perhaps indicating that the clean and energising aroma of fresh pine is reminiscent of the rains that fell the previous night
  • The poet then describes the the dangerous height of steep cliffs, Smooth roads and dark ravines.  She talks about the cottages that are on the hill slope, that is, cottages that are nestled in the verdant hill slopes overlooking the breath-taking and boundless beauty that fill one with hope. Here the poet perhaps referring that nature's beauty always wears the colours of the spirit, and if you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere. The  beautiful gift of nature is that it gives pleasure to look around and try to comprehend what we see.
  • The snow-capped mountain (the mountains of Uttranchal) and the fog  is spread so beautiful around that it hides the poet''s view. Fog brings a new perspective and a different ambiance to beautiful places The poet ends the poem about telling that the beauty and magic of the hills would never wane (fade away) and she would long to go back again and again
