the hero tells about a boy who is afraid to sleep alone' but who is forced to do so by his parents. but at the end of the day he emerges as a hero!!! apart from sleeping alone he could also catch a thief....

A Hero R K Narayan has a theme of fear, insecurity, control and powerlessness and independence.
This is suggesting reading his books that sleep in his father’s office to clear the reader mind set.
The hero tells about the boy who is afraid to sleep alone but who is forced to do by his parents. What happens at the end of the day is very surprising and thrills to read the story.
