Summary of the poem The pilgrim:
The poem is about a man called Christian who seeks liberation. He wants to set himself free from all the sins he made. Evangeline came and asked him to leave the house and move to the celestial city from the city of destruction.
He moved from the house and he started to travel. On his way to the city he learned about faith. On his way he met Wiseman who asked him to open his mind and allow love and joy to flow in.
Then he met Goodwill who asked him to stay in a particular house. There he gained faith. He then reached the city where he found a cross. When he saw the cross, all his guilt and sin fell on the ground.
