The poet depicts the selfless love of mother who is stung by scorpion .She suffers a lot because of the pain but still she is happy that the scorpion didn't bite her children .The poet goes back to night when mother is bitten by scorpion .By hearing this incidencent the villahers came into the poet house like swarms of flies to console the family.
