Answer:

This is a delightful miniature volume that contains the short poem 'The Skylark' (only 16 lines), which tells of a sunny morn when the sky was blue when a little child saw and heard a skylark singing above the corn.

Below the skylark, butterflies were dancing on the wing but the singing skylark ignored them and continued to soar and sing.

The cornfield stretched to right and left and the little child knew that the Skylark had a nest somewhere within it. The child listened for some time but as the sunny moments slid away the Skylark slipped away to his mate. For the child the magical moment had passed.

Christina Rossetti's poem brings out the beauty of the English countryside, which is enhanced by some charming contemporary illustrations of the scene.
