In the poem, the writer acts as a journalist who visits a low urban town and gives his opinion about the living conditions of the poor people.  Their children suffer from hunger. People had low hopes from government and even when the author asked the people that he wants to help him, they didn’t trust him.

This poem reflects his disturbed personal, especially married life because in this poem he is accusing his lover to he cheating on him. This is inspired by his real life where he has accused his wife of adultery. In the poem, the poet confronts his lover saying that she is the one who has  broken the promise and the trust. He says that he blindly believed her but she fooled him and that's why he bids farewell to his lover with a heavy heart.
