SUMMARY OF POEM
The wind is a unique phenomenon. While we are unable to see it, we can see the result of it blowing. “Wind on the Hill” shows a child grappling with this understanding. A.A. Milne wrote books and poems for children. His most famous creation was Winnie the Pooh.
I think this poem is really talking about freedom. This poem is full of symbols, like the wind representing freedom. The kite represents all of the pent emotions the protagonist felt when his dad left him. He kept the kite in hopes that his dad would come back until one day he accepts that his father isn’t coming back. When he realises the kite into the free wind, he is also freeing himself.
Alan Alexander Milne was a British author, best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh and for various poems. Milne was a noted writer, primarily as a playwright, before the huge success of Pooh overshadowed all his previous work

The poem "Wind on the Hill" written by A.A.Milne talks about the power of wind which is unseen by everyone in the world. The poet is a small boy who thinks about the wind and comes to the conclusion that wind is something which no one has ever seen. He finds a way to feel the wind and know about its direction by flying a kite. The direction in which the kite would fly will tell the direction of the blowing wind. When the boy would hold the kite the power of the wind would make it fly in the air. The boy would be able to tell anyone the direction of the wind with the help of the kite. The poem talks about the hidden inspiration which is not seen and analyzed until an external force is applied in it. Hence, we need to understand our potential and try to enhance them.
