Evelyn Glennie, a great percussionist and musician. Her mother noticed her without responding once and at the age of 11, she was deaf due to a nerve damage. She joined the Royal Academy of music and scored higher grades. Her teacher Rob Forbes insisted her to feel the sound rather than hearing it.

Then she felt higher drum from waist up and lower drum from waist down. When she played xylophone she sensed the sound passing up to the stick into her fingers. By leaning against the drums she could feel the vibrations of drums pass through her bare foot and up her legs. She also said that music poured in every part of her body: cheekbones, hair and her skin.
