Palampur is a village that depends largely on agriculture
With the development of agricultural techniques, farmers have learnt to cultivate more
They have earned maximum profits with High yielding variety of seeds and organic fertilizers
This is possible for rich landlords and farmers who possess their own land
They just use the savings from the yield they earned in the harvest and invest them as capital for their next crop
But, it is impossible for the small farmers who do not have their own land and cultivate on others’ land
Their condition is worse as their nature of employment can be of any type i.e., either daily, or seasonal or for a whole year
Such farmers have either migrated to towns or cities for work
They have also involved themselves in non - farm sectors like dairy etc
Palampur has well knit roads, and the village is interconnected by neighbouring towns and cities which would increase their economic status in the future........
