a frog sings badly t a tree every night until he is replaced by a nightingale who sings beautifully.he tells her she needs to sing louder and offers her a singing lessons for a fee.he takes this fee from her by charging for admission to listen to her sing.the frog pushes the nightingale farther and farther, until she dies of a burst blood vessel.the frog claims that he tried to help her,but she was too"prone to influence".he resumes singingat the tree himself.
