Explanation:

In ‘The Voice of Humanity’, Tagore writes about his visit to Europe and how it has always held a charm for him. Italy holds a special place for him and he feels the hands of the Divine at that place. The people of Europe, he feels, have an intellectual mind and they use their intellect to invent and develop not only the arts but science too.

The rapid developments in all the fields of science have helped mankind greatly. He feels that with this advancement and development, society has become more greedy and selfish.

He appeals to mankind to be more selfless and let all these technological advancements be beneficial to mankind and not to be overpowered by power and wealth. He hopes that this is like the passing clouds and mankind’s human spirit will shine through these passing clouds.
