My sheep is being sheepish(being embarrassed).
My cat is acting catty(unkind,critical)
My horse, of course, is sort of hoarse(rough voice).
My bat’s completely batty.(crazy)
My chicken’s plainly chicken(Afraid ).
My hare is fairly hairy(lots of hair)
My cuckoo’s truly cuckoo.(crazy)
My mare is mainly merry.

My fish is frankly fishy,
(suspicious)
and so my flea is fleeing.

My slug is somewhat sluggish.

My bee is simply being.

I have so many animals

Summary
This is a word memorizing poem. Poet has compared different adjectives with the behaviour of the animals in each line. For example fish who looks like suspicious everytime . So if we find anything suspicious we say that it is fishy. So, I have included meaning of all the adjectives in the poem. The meaning can be related with the animal.

This is a poem basically for children where it is seen some fun is being obtained by playing with words. There are numerous silly things individuals can do with words. The poem is about finding or thinking of the names of several animals which can be used in place of adjectives. It is a four stanza poem containing adjectives made from animal name.
