                                 SUMMARY OF WORSHIP

                                   BY ARDIS WHITMAN

  • There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved. It is the finger of God on man's shoulders. “Love is the feeling that connects two people. It is the magic of love that keeps our spirits alive and strengthens our hearts and souls. And it is love that is the primary force that shapes our physical, emotional and spiritual lives.
  • In this vein, Ardis Whitman points out, "Love is the mortar that holds people together in marriage, the hearthstone around which a  family  grows. It is the saving grace that resolves our mistakes in life. As Whitman concludes, love is vital  and  can be expressed clearly  in many different ways, including some that are captured below:
  • Love has a gentle touch. Love answers the admonition that "feelings are everywhere." , be kind." A gentle touch and a calm voice. It expresses itself through smiles, through tender words and through the warmth that radiates from the soul.
  • The sounds of love have the same gentle resonance as the sounds of children. They express their love, as a father, suddenly attracted by his daughter's tenderness towards him, he realized.Love gives freedom.
  • Love, true love, does not rush or insist on another's time, attention, or affection. Love gives the other the freedom to choose their reaction. If I don't give you that freedom, my love   is just a thinly disguised way to control you.“Love recognizes that others must be free because human freedom is a precious commodity; and the human spirit reacts vigorously to those who limit or take away freedom.
  • Love forgives Love knows that love and anger cannot exist in the heart itself, a heart can experience the deep and abiding love it can have for another person. Therefore, love forgives and offers the quality of mercy to others for the benefit of all concerned.
