Answer:

Here is the summary of the poem what Freud would have said

Explanation:

The persona in the poem seems not to be settled.

The matters that are making him not settle are the definition of every individual about what is right and wrong, who they are and what they stand for.

He says:

" I've also lost

my job because lying

face down on the couch

didn't jibe with my employer's

definition of home

office."

His understanding of home and office seems to clash with that of his employer.

Answer:

"The poem is in first person where the poet says that, he did not drill through his finger on purpose. The nurse laughed at this but then said "sorry" and gave him a shot. The person who drove the poet home commented on his smile. He was put to bed but woke up in pain due to the drugs wearing off. He says that drilling through his finger was not the stupidest thing he had done and he had once built a bookcase while working from home, but his boss had fired him because he lay down all day".
