My understanding of "The Couplets" are as follows

Every people have different thoughts and beliefs and they trust their own as the right one. This leads to conflicts due to lack of acceptance of others ideas. To accept the point of others is the initial step to get friendly.                                                                                                         Everyone should understand, that similar to them others have their own believes and should not force their point of view on others.

For a person to lead peaceful and successful life they should maintain a middle state and should not lean to either side.

There are different types of Governments like democratic, monarchy and dictatorship, but the best form of Government is the one that has good administration.

Authors get more valued as they get older, this is not just the experience in age but the wisdom they gain                                                               (Authors, like coins, grow dear as they grow old                                                       It is the rust we value, not the gold.)

zealots will fight over their religion, let them fight, but the person who is truthful and does good deeds in his lifetime will have the best life as it will never go wrong.

People should consider charity as a main purpose of their life. This will make them reach directly to God.
