First of all we have to know what is disease and then its cause.

Diseases : any condition which impress is the health or interferes with the normal functioning of the body due to one or other reason is called disease.
A disease can also be defined as disorder or deviation in the physical physiological or any other functions of the body or mind it maybe cause either due to nutritional deficiencies genital disorder, pathogenic invasion or any other reason.

Types of diseases there are two types of diseases
1st acute and 2nd chronic diseases.
Acute disease : last for few days there are no bad effects on our General Health do not reduce our ability to learn for example of common cold diarrhoea etc.
Chronic disease : last for long periods have long term benefits on General Health such as loss of weight short breath tiredness may reduce our ability to learn for example tuberculosis elephantiasis, leprosy etc.

Causes of diseases
1st. Immediate or primary causes: it is the real or primary cause of the disease and also known as the first level of course for infection diseases the immediate causes the pathogens virus bacteria and fungus protozoans worms suppose a baby is suffering from loose motion the first level of causes pathogen which baby virus or bacteria that reaches the baby throw on clean drinking water contaminated food milk bottle and other articles.

2nd. Contributing secondary causes: this makes a person prone to catching the disease all the persons are not equally susceptible to disease some contract the disease while other do not do they may receive equal amount of contamination the susceptibility may be due to Poor health related to undernourishment in some persons susceptibility to a pathogen is genetically inherited the contribution causes of the undernourishment and poor heredity are also called second level of causes as they are connected with the accessibility of the individual.

3rd. Third Level of causes : certain causes increases the proneness to disease they are called Third Level of causes a repeated supply of unclean water will make everybody catch the water borne disease poor Public Health Services will therefore the third level of causes lack of proper there is meant as a result of poverty. poverty can also function as one of the third level of causes poor person generally live in unclean surrounding their basic amenities provided by municipality and public services lacking.
