Anglo Mysore wars played a significant role in making the Indians realize that the british never actually wanted to trade but territorize our nation. The British saw the Mysore rulers, Tipu Sultan and Haidar Ali as a threat to their trade because they controlled the export of spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, pepper and cloves to the Malabar coast. So to protect their trade, the british waged four wars with the Mysore rulers. The mysore rulers had a good relationship with the French and got help from Napoleon Bonaparte while the british had established a good relationship with the nizam of hyderabad. Four battles that caused a lot of bloodshed were fought. the british gained victory in the final Anglo Mysore War. these battles were one of the many aspects that sparked the want of being independant. mysore played an important role in indian independance.
