Save Electricity’
Our life is now completely dependent on electricity, so it comes to a standstill without it. During the summer months, the demand for electricity increases and the result is-repeated power cuts. As responsible citizens of the nation, we should do our bit. It is the responsibility of each one of us that we should save electricity. We need to develop a habit to switch off all the electric switches when leaving a room. We should also check the energy savings rating of appliances while purchasing them. All electricity wirings in houses should be insulated, so that there should be no leakage and thus no wastage. And last but not the least, we should pay our bills in time. By doing a little bit, we can save ourselves from a lot of inconveniences.

Dear Diary,
Shoot Out Incident in a School. Oh! What a shock it was. As per my habit, I switched on the T.V. before the dinner was served. I thought I would catch up with the news. But, what a shock awaited me. I heard the annnouncer telling about a shoot out incident in a school in Gurgaon in which IX Class student was killed by two of his classmates. I could not believe myself. I had lost all interest in the dinner that awaited me. The ghastly incident made me realise that cases of violence among students have become very common. Children hardly have any tolerance power. They tend to get aggressive and violent at the slightest pretext. They do not hesitate to indulge in physical violence. Use of abusive language has also become common enough. I feel that parents are also to be blamed as they have become so busy that they do not have sufficient time for their children. I hope this trend will soon discontinue.
