The rhyme All Things Bright and Beautiful is a rhyme that is wonderfully written about the creations of God and the destinies it hold. This poem is widely accepted in schools and sung at prayers for thanking God for each day that is blessed.
The initial stanza makes it very clear that all creatures, whether they are bright, beautiful, small or great, wonderful or wise, were all made by the Lord God. Every single creature has a reason to be on this earth all these were made by God for a reason to be here. She then explains about the features of each living things on earth. The colors of the flowers and the chirping of birds, the beginning of every new life is designed by God and hence we should thank him.
Next she explains about men and their being on earth. Some are rich and have castles and some are poor and homeless. Whatever you may be now, is all God’s making and he has a specific planning when he created each one of us and the reason of being here. Again, she portrays, no matter what, you should thank God for what you are.
In the next few stanza’s, it is beautifully explained about the different landscape of nature. The mountains and the rivers, their placement and the flow of rivers through them is a beautiful sight to see, similarly the sunset and the sunrise and just sights that makes one get lost for hours together. All these are God’s creations and the beauty to each of these can in no way be measured. She then says about the tall trees in the forests and the meadows where we play, the ripe fruits in the garden and the rushes of water all are made by the Creator in such a beautiful and well ordered manner, that it just all happens together.
Lastly she says, when he made all this, he gave us eyes to see and lips to glorify the beauty, so that we spread across the Glory of God and the beautiful things that he has created in this world for us to see, feel and enjoy.
