Sunil is elder than Rajesh by 5 years. After 5 years their ages would be in the ratio of 5:4. Find their present ages.​

Let the age of Rajesh be x years .

Then the age of Sunil be (x+5)years.

After 5 years,

the age of Rajesh be (x+5) years

and the age of Sunil = (x+5+5)years=(x+10)years.

According to question,

(x+10):(x+5)=5:4

=》(x+10)/(x+5)=5/4

=》4(x+10)=5(x+5)

=》4x+40=5x+25

=》40-25=5x-4x

=》15=x

Hence the present age of Rajesh be 15 years.

And the age of Sunil =15+5=20 years.

Let the age of Rajesh is x.Then age of Suresh is x+5.

After 5 years age of Rajesh is x+5 and age of Suresh is x+10.

x+10 : x+5=5 : 4

5(x+5)=4(x+10)

5x+25=4x+40

5x-4x=40 -25

x = 15

x+5=20

So Rajesh age is 15and Suresh age is 20
