Sunil makes a kite using two pieces of paper. First piece of paper is cut in the shape of a square where one diagonal is of length 28 CM. At one of the vertex of this square a second piece of paper is attached which is of the shape of an equilateral triangle of length 4 cm to give the shape of a kite. Find the area of the kite..

now 28=√2a

a=28√2=20

now area of square= 20×20=400cm^2

area of equilateral triangle=√3/4*a^2

area of given triangle= 7cm^2

now sum the areas =400+7=407 cm2
