Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of ₹50 notes be x and ₹100 be y

according to the question

x+y= 200

x= 200-y (1)

and again

50×x+ 100×y= ₹15,500

Putting the value of x in (2)

We have,

₹50(200-y)+100y= ₹15500

₹10000-₹50y+100y= ₹15500

₹50y= ₹15500-₹10000

y= 5500/50= 110

x = 200-110= 90

Sunita has 90 notes of 50 and 110 notes of 100
