Answer:

Let the number of Rs.50 notes be x.

Number of Rs.100 notes = 200-x

According to Question,

50x + 100 (200-x) = 15,500

=> 50x + 20,000 - 100x = 15,500

=> 20,000 - 50x = 15,500

=> 20,000 - 15,500 = 50x

=> 50x = 4,500

=> x = 90

Hence, number of Rs.50 notes = 90

Number of Rs.100 notes = 200-90 = 110
