Let us assume the present age of Sunita be x years and that of Ashima be y years

By Question

$\rm \implies x = 2y....... (1)$

Again we have

$\rm \implies x+4=4 (y-6)\\\\ \rm\implies x+4=4y-24 \\\\ \rm\implies x-4y=-28......(2)$

Putting the value of x from (1)in (2)

$\rm\implies 2y -4y = -28\\\\ \rm\implies -2y=-28\\\\ \rm\implies y=14$

Now from (1) we have ,

$\rm\implies x = 2(14)\\\\ \rm\implies x = 28$

Thus the present age of Sunita and Amisha are 28 years and 14 years respectively.

Therefore, 4 years ago their ages were 24 years and 10 years.
