Sunita stays in the school for 3 hours and 12 minutes.

Given data :

She leaves the school at 10 minutes to seven.

She comes back home at 10 past 2.

• Now,we have to calculate the time gap between her departure and arrival.

• So,her departure time

= 10 minutes to seven

= 6:50 (minutes to means remaining time before the given time)

• So, her arrival time

= 10 past 2

= 10:02 (past means already leftover time to the given time)

• So,now we have to calculate the time gap between 6:50 to 10:02,in order to calculate the total time she stays in the school.

• Now,we can use the simple hourly method of calculation.

• The starting time is 6:50.

So,in round off hour figure, the nearest time to the ending time (10:02) is 9:50.

• Now,the round off figure is in the 3 hours gap from the starting time.

And,12 minutes less than the ending time.

• So,the time difference = 3 hours 12 minutes

She,stays in school for 3 hours and 12 minutes. (Answer)
