Sunita reads 3/5 of a book on the first day and 1/3 on the second day. On which day did she read more?

Given data:-

  • Sunita reads 3/5 part of a book on the first day.
  • Sunita reads 1/3 part of book on the second day.

Solution:-

Let, x be the 3/5 part of book and y be the 1/3 part of book.

Hence, now,

{ \dashrightarrow{ \bf{x =  \frac{3}{5} = 0.6 }} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: .....(1)}

{ \dashrightarrow{ \bf{y =  \frac{1}{3} = 0.9999.... }} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: .....(2)}

From eq. ( 1 ) & eq. ( 2 ) we know that

Sunita read more part of book on second day than first day.

{ Note:- Numerator < denominator than other term then, the given term is less than other term}
