Answer:

Sunita has =10kg of grapes

Then

For poornima she gave =3 1/4

13/4 kg

For anitha she gave =2 1/2

5/2 kg

Grapes left with her = sunitha bought-for poornima +for anitha

=10-(13/4+5/2)

=10-(23/4)

=10-23/4

=40-23/4

=17/4 kg (or) 4 1/4kg

Therefore the grapes left with her is 17/4kg (or) 4 1/4kg

Answer:

The grapes left with Sunitha =  4\frac{1}{4}kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Sunita bought 10Kg.

She gave 3\frac{1}{4} kg of grapes to Poornima and 2\frac{1}{2} kg to Anita

To find,

The grapes left with her

Solution

Let the grapes left with Sunitha be 'x'

The total grapes Sunitha bought = 10kg

Grapes given to Poornima =  3\frac{1}{4} Kg

Grapes given to Anita =  2\frac{1}{2} kg

Total grapes given =  3\frac{1}{4}  +  2\frac{1}{2}

=\frac{13}{4} +\frac{5}{2}

=\frac{13+10}{4}

= \frac{23}{4}

We have,

Total grapes bought =  Total grapes given to Poornima and Anita + grapes left with Sunitha

10 =   \frac{23}{4} + x

x = 10 -  \frac{23}{4}

x = \frac{40 - 23}{4}

x = \frac{17}{4}

x =  4\frac{1}{4}kg

The grapes left with Sunitha =  4\frac{1}{4}kg
